About PeaceActs.org
PeaceActs is a nonpartisan citizen action organization dedicated to the promotion of peace. A 501 (c)3 organization established in 2003 our mission is to support PEACEMAKERS in the promotion and practice or principles of world peace in their personal sphere of influence.
Five basic principles with corresponding practices guide the work of the organization. These are:
- Respect: *Honor individual & group differences
*Deliberately engage in cultural exchange
- Share: *Conserve resources and distribute them fairly.
* Support parity of power and negotiate disputes.
- Care: *Volunteer to help those in need.
*Build community in collaboration with others.
- Love: *Forgive and be positive.*
Be kind to yourself and others.
- Advocate: *Study and understand policy issues.
*Be proactive to achieve the common good.
Activities include:
_ Development and distribution of manuals and practical GUIDES for progressive action.
_ Convening peacemakers from around the WORLD in a variety of venues.
_ A web page for international communication and collaboration among PEACEMAKERS
_ Leadership training opportunities to promote the PRACTICE of PEACE.
