World peace is not an abstraction. It is an achievable reality. National and individual security require new approaches to conflict resolution and violence reduction.
Peace activism may include but is not limited to demonstrations and pronouncements. It requires systemic change, a realignment of values to include allegiance to principles of peace and the practice of those principles as individuals and as a society.
Peacemaking involves deliberate acts of reconciliation and respect. It is voluntary, collaborative effort to practice and promote peace on a daily basis.
This nonprofit organization provides resources to peacemakers to help them find their own pathway to peace by providing information and creating options for networking.
